ZOO Digital to Launch ZOOvault

Zoo Digital will unveil ZOOvault, a secure way to store TV and movie content and order digital distribution deliveries in different languages and formats, at the 2016 NAB show.

The subtitling and captioning services company describes the product as combining “the advantages of secure, centralized cloud storage with an easy-to-use, cost effective online ordering system.”

Video, audio and image files are kept under security in ZOOvault, from here they are conformed ready for localization, packaging and delivery to online platforms such as iTunes, Amazon or Netflix.
An authorized user can place an order for a title to be adapted for their chosen online platform in any language.

The system reuses existing media content and identifies if additional metadata needs to be captured. It also indicates any new language variations required, including dubbing as well as subtitling, and any source assets which need to be converted into different formats. Those that are missing are localized in each required language, before the content is encoded and packaged for delivery to the requested platform.

“ZOO Digital is one of the few providers now comprehensively equipped to offer a complete, end-to-end service for every element of digital distribution and localization and ZOOvault is key to this,” says Gordon Doran, company President. Not only can content owners have peace of mind that all their assets are stored safely, but authorized colleagues repurpose media files as part of their global content strategy.”
