Boland Shows Full Line of 4K Monitors

Boland Communications is showing a complete range of flat panel displays that are fully compatible with 4K signals. The new 4K55 is a 55-inch Professional Broadcast 4K (3840 x 2160 UHD) LED Video Monitor with support for HDMI, DisplayPort, SDI, and VGA Signal Inputs; an LED backlight system (low power consumption and stable operation) that displays 1.06 billion colors; 10-bit display (12-bit processing); and supports such aspect ratios as 16:10, 16:9, 4:3, and 1.85 to 1.

Another Boland monitor, the BVB17, is targeted at cinematographers, D.I.T.s, camera shading, field production, or in a broadcast rack/flypack. It is10-bit panel (1.07 billion colors) with a true 10-bit Path, 3G SDI, HDMI, DVI, and CVBS inputs and factory calibration that the company said is “Good 4 Life.” The BVB17 also features a full suite of scopes (Waveform, Vector, RGB Parade); off axis viewing angles; an Audio de-embedder, 16 track meters, built-in speakers; the ability to process all frame rates: 23, 24, 25, 29, 30, 59, 60 up to 1080 @i/p/sf; Single or Dual Link 3G SDI for full 4:4:4 sampling; a closed caption decoder; and Picture by Picture featuring Dual 3GSDI signals, each with independent scopes.

The company offers displays in a variety of sizes, including 24-, 28-, 55-, 65-, 75-, 84- and 98-inches.  Coming soon will monitors with Quad Link 3G SDI,Single Link 12G SDI, HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort.
