End-to-End Video Streaming from Blonder Tongue

Blonder Tongue is highlighting a live video streaming encoding product and a 4K Modulator at the 2016 NAB show.

Blonder Tongue’s LiveCast encoder and HDDM decoder is described as an 'Edge-to-Cloud' solution to deliver end-to-end live video streaming. The LiveCast is an acquisition encoder that will take an SDI source and transport live video over the internet to a cloud-based video media, or service provider for processing into multi-screen workflows. For point-to-point applications, the LiveCast is best paired with the HDDM decoder for optimal IP video delivery.

The firm's 4K Modulator is for transmitting UHD video clips over coaxial cable networks, using traditional hardware. This method is not only cost-effective, says the firm, it gives commercial facilities, such as retail chains, stadiums, arenas, and airports, a means to advertise on 4K displays, leveraging video content to enhance the consumer experience.

FlexCoder offers operators and integrators the ability to convert IP video streams into QAM or ASI formats, as well as transcode digital off-air (8VSB) to clear QAM, ASI or IP signals.
