Envivio provided real-time encoding in both Dolby Vision and AC4 in an IBC demonstration.
Dolby Laboratories teamed with Envivio to showcase a live feed of Ultra HD video with High Dynamic Range (HDR) at IBC. The technology pairing used Muse video processing software and Dolby’s Dolby Vision and audio format Dolby AC-4.
At IBC an HEVC feed along with HDR information was encoded by Envivio Muse Live UHD in real-time and played back on a 65” Dolby Vision compatible 4K television. The Envivio encoder has been used in successful Ultra HD broadcast events, such as FIFA’s World Cup, and the French Open tennis tournament for distribution across satellite, cable TV, terrestrial or IP networks.
Envivio claims to be the first to demonstrate real-time encoding in both Dolby Vision and audio format Dolby AC-4.
