GatesAir Launches Maxiva StreamAssure for cloud-based over-the-air QC, powered by Qligent’s Vision platform. The unique service improves quality of service and experience for viewers and broadcasters.
GatesAir announces the availability of Maxiva StreamAssure, a cloud-based QoS/QoE monitoring solution for multi-channel over-the-air networks and local broadcasters. Powered by multi-platform TV delivery cloud monitoring expert Qligent, StreamAssure gives broadcasters comprehensive end-to-end monitoring and verification of multiple formats and stream layers along the entire delivery path. This detailed, data-rich approach ensures full standards compliance and improved consumer quality of experience.
Leveraging the infinite scalability and cloud power of Qligent’s Vision platform, StreamAssure simplifies the traditional component-based architecture of disparate monitoring systems through a centralized platform. Its cloud monitoring characteristics allow on-premises and off-site, managed service-based monitoring of physical, transport and audio/video streams from a single dashboard to more easily understand network-wide performance.
Rapid isolation of performance issues over the transport and RF infrastructure is another key value proposition for broadcasters. The ability to separately analyze multiple IP, ASI and other streams ahead of the transmitter versus the RF and decoded audio/video streams coming out allows users to quickly identify and address the source of the problem, ensuring unprecedented accuracy across root cause analysis, impact valuation and corrective actions.
Maxiva StreamAssure, which is fully scalable from a single transmitter deployment to large national networks, can cover thousands of transmitters and RF plants deployed over a wide geographical area. Since monitoring can be centralized to single screens via Qligent’s platform, broadcasters faced with reduced technical resources and operating budgets can boost efficiency in an increasingly complex digital terrestrial TV (DTT) architecture.
