Suitcase TV Iphrame Suite Provides Software-based Playout and Publishing

Suitcase TV, a provider of media asset management software, has introduced a new range of solutions to further expand the range and capabilities of its existing iphrame Suite. The iphrame Suite is designed to streamline HD-SDI and IP-based operations.

The Suitcase TV iphrame suite includes Iphrame Vision, a real-time production system handling video, audio and graphics. It runs on standard IT hardware, from an entry-level PC right up to dedicated rack-mounted hardware or cloud-deployed VM's.

There’s also iphrame Publish, a feature that treats linear channel playout in much the same way as publishing for VOD by pre-rendering playout channels. Iphrame Publish addresses the issue that the majority of today’s channels are non-reactive and schedules are known well in advance of transmission. Iphrame Publish significantly reduces the risk associated with the reliance on real-time processing currently found in playout whilst maintaining the ability to handle last minute changes to programming and commercial content.

Suitcase TV will also be launching smaller packaged solutions to assist broadcasters that are looking to work in the IP domain. Iphrame Encoder and iphrame Decoder offer simple conversion between SDI and IP domains with a range of options for enhanced monitoring and control. The new iphrame Surface allows any PC to be re-purposed as a multi-viewer capable of displaying a mix of IP and SDI signals and to act as a control interface for iphrame Vision Remote deployments.

Finally, Suitcase TV continues to develop MediaStor, its file-based media asset management system. MediaStor is a scalable enterprise class system with built in HSM and a wide range of media manipulation functions that go well beyond most people’s expectations of what media asset management can achieve.

Suitcase TV will exhibit its latest software products at IBC 2015 (stand 2.C10).
