VDM Picks Dalet Galaxy MAM for Program Prep and Production

French audio-visual laboratory Video Digital Media, part of the Transatlantic group, has selected the Dalet Galaxy MAM to manage its entire audio/visual programme preparation and production workflow. The new installation features the Dalet Workflow Engine including the BPMN 2.0-compliant designer and two Dalet Brio servers for media I/O.

As the amount of content to handle and the complexity of VDM processes surge, the audio-visual laboratory has looked to Dalet to manage its ever-expanding workflows. With the Dalet Galaxy MAM at the heart of the VDM digital lab, the content chain will be unified by managing assets, metadata, workflows and processes across multiple and diverse production and distribution systems, increasing productivity and providing operational and business visibility, according to Dalet.

In addition to installing the Dalet Galaxy MAM business solution for programme preparation and production, VDM has integrated a number of additional Dalet products within the enterprise platform, including the Dalet Xtend module, which brings Adobe Premiere clients into the workflow, and the Dalet Report Center to provide system reporting and detailed, business-oriented metrics.VDM will develop an Ingest Portal (VDMIngest) and other features on top of the Galaxy MAM using the Dalet API.
