Celebro Studios Offers News Service Delivered With Streambox

Production company Celebro Studios has launched a new service for news organizations and TV journalists.

Celebro Media is a broadcast consultancy and production house for some of the best-known broadcasters. Their state-of-the-art 4K studio facility is purpose built for live TV production and the studio uses Blackmagic 4K studio cameras mounted on AFC-100 Robotic Pan-Tilt heads purpose built by UK robotics company Mark Roberts Motion Control (MRMC). Celebro offers a full 4K workflow from capture through vision mixing as well as recording in a variety of formats and live playout.

Any broadcaster using Streambox can now save on satellite costs by using the new facility, which can send broadcast quality video in a variety of formats from 4K to SD as well as full HD. The facility aims to offer broadcast quality OBs at fraction of the cost of traditional satellite based injects.

The studios can provide anything from a simple single camera contributor up to a full four cameras studio based live discussion format. Chief Executive of Celebro Media, Wesley Dodd, says the launch of the new service taps into the huge network of broadcasters already using Streambox.

"We have a lot of big stories coming up this year in the UK, with a general election, another royal birth as well as the Rugby World Cup - we wanted to launch this service at a time when more and more news organizations are looker for cheap and innovative ways to 'go live' into their programs."

The Streambox platform of live and file-based HD/SD software and hardware for video transport, management, and play out is based on the ACT-L3 proprietary video compression, which allows faster encoding with low-latency and adaptive bit-rate streaming over public/private networks. The ACT-L3 codec provides unrivaled performance, reliability, and quality over low data rate IP networks for fast transmission and play out of video streams in HD/SD and 4K.
