N1 TV expands with Mobile Viewpoint

Television news channel for the Adria region and CNN’s exclusive affiliate partner N1, has chosen Mobile Viewpoint 3G/4G links.

Mobile Viewpoint, a leader in wireless 3G/4G communications, delivered 12 sets of 3G/4G backpacks to N1 TV equipping their three offices in Serbia, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. N1 TV plans to expand its coverage in the near future into Macedonia, Montenegro, Slovenia and other countries in the Adria region. N1 TV uses the WMT for its live news reporting from all over the Balkan and has selected Mobile Viewpoint after extensive field-testing. Mobile Viewpoint's H.264 and now H.265 codec implementations, combined with patented technology, allow HD video to be transmitted over bonded IP.

Mobile Viewpoint’s products combine a highly robust design for field use with 100% reliable and mixed-formats servers installed in N1 TV machine rooms. With Mobile Viewpoint’s IP MCR, the Videomanager platform, live feeds are switched and routed to N1 studio’s or external designations.

“In today's fast paced media environment the ability to deliver news fast and clearly is more important than ever before. Using WMT and Mobile Viewpoint’s technology enables us to be live from almost every corner of the world”, said Zoran Stevanović, N1 News gathering Director.

Deployment of Mobile Viewpoint equipment across the N1 Balkan regions shows how the WMT enables cost effective all IP news gathering. In combination with MVP’s web based IP MCR, N1 is able to share their WMT systems with other broadcasters and receive feeds from Brussels and other capitals around the world.
