Magewell Shows Live Streaming And IP Workflow Products At IBC2021

Magewell, a vendor of IP workflow technology, is showing a range of new and existing products at IBC2021, including cloud management software for the first time.

The firm will also unveil its Ultra Encode family of universal live media encoders for both live streaming and remote contribution, aimed at systems integrators and video professionals generally. There will also be various IP-based based local and remote production products on show, featuring in demonstrations of interoperable, end-to-end workflows, also involving third party components.

Magewell will show recently introduced products for the first time at an exhibition on its stand, alongside existing systems that play various roles as customers embrace remote production workflows and streaming-centric distribution models.

The Magewell Cloud management software provides centralized configuration and control of multiple Magewell streaming and IP conversion devices, with stream management features including protocol conversion and SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) relay. The software can run on a cloud hosting platform or on-premises server, aiming for simpler management of multiple encoders and decoders by integrators, administrators, and users.

Then the new Ultra Encode family of universal live media encoders for live streaming and remote contribution supports H.264, H.265, and NDI|HX encoding, plus a range of streaming protocols including SRT, RTMP, RTMPS, RTSP, and HLS. Ultra Encode can also be combined with Magewell’s Pro Convert decoders for end-to-end media transport in NDI|HX or streaming formats.

Finally, Magewell will show IP-based local and remote production solutions using NDI and SRT technologies. Demonstrations will combine Magewell’s Ultra Encode devices, Pro Convert NDI encoders and Pro Convert multi-format decoders with third-party production tools in interoperable, end-to-end workflows.
