Rascular Launches NDI Multiviewer ViewMaster

ViewMaster is described as a flexible and simple-to-use NDI stream multiviewer and is part of Rascular’s RouteMaster and RouteMaster Lite NDI routing and stream management applications.

Ephraim Barrett, Sales Director, Rascular, said, “NDI has really taken off across the world of IP video and this has been reflected in our activities and sales. Speaking with our customers it’s clear that they need a simple, flexible but powerful, NDI multiviewer, suitable for use across broadcast, A/V and streaming. ViewMaster is the answer.”

The NDI multiviewer takes multiple video and audio streams and combines them to create attractive and flexible layouts on a single screen, allowing users to quickly and easily see the streams available. Its HDMI output is ideal for a wide range of monitors.

ViewMaster can be set up to display a maximum 25 streams, either input or output. The name of each stream is clearly displayed and users can easily select what NDI sources/destinations they want to see. ViewMaster can also be adjusted when it comes to showing tallies - programme and preview and it supports NewTek’s tally system technology. Stereo and quad audio metering are available as well as the ability to hear the audio on a chosen stream.

ViewMaster works with RouteMaster Lite, Rascular’s stream management and NDI routing application and with the company’s RouteMaster router control application in the NDI domain for those who want additional flexibility and configuration options.

Barrett added, “We are seeing use of NDI across a wide range of applications and we only expect this to grow. Our NDI stream management technology has been very successful. We speak to a wide range of customers all the time and a technologically elegant multiviewer solution was top of their list to join our NDI ecosystem. We also have other applications under development, more news of which soon.”
