Siminn Plays Premier League On Veset

Channel-in-a-Box (CiaB) technology and functionality is attainable without the Box.

For over a year Síminn has been working with Veset Nimbus linear channel management platform operating its linear TV channel, and since August 2019 has been broadcasting live Premier League matches in UHD. The UHD broadcast for the Premier League was a first in the Icelandic market.

Veset Nimbus integrated with Síminn’s content delivery and media asset management systems, allowed Síminn’s operations to optimise their internal workflows and take advantage of Veset’s cloud capabilities.

Veset is a versatile, 100% cloud-based all-in-one service for linear television. Nimbus is a professional, self-service linear TV channel management platform, designed for broadcasters and service providers. It delivers the ability to manage multiple channels, manage multiple playlists and control multi-user access. The service also includes advanced graphics and scheduling capabilities.

Bjarki Jónsson, manager at Síminn’s TV Department said: “We have been partners with Veset for over a year now, using their Veset Nimbus playout which nicely fits into our workflow. Flexibility of Veset’s cloud architecture design allowed us to build a customised solution to address our needs. Having worked with Veset for a year we are pleased not only with the technology but also the overall support which is very important to us as our customers are demanding and expect the best from us.”
