AIMS’ schedule of presentations includes introductory and technical presentations on IPMX.
The Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS) ProAV Working Group will present on topics including Internet Protocol Media Experience (IPMX), the newly introduced set of open standards and specs designed to enable carriage of compressed and uncompressed AV and data over IP networks for the ProAV industry.
"IPMX addresses the ProAV industry's need for a single set of common, ubiquitous standards-based protocols that ensure interoperability for AV over IP, and ISE 2020 provides an excellent forum for education and discussion of this important advance," said David Chiappini, chair of the AIMS ProAV Working Group. "As the ProAV world increasingly moves toward IP networking, an understanding of IPMX and enabling standards and specifications will be essential. We look forward to hosting engaging presentations that offer attendees practical value and knowledge."
The AIMS presentations will provide two tracks: a less technical Overview Track for attendees who want to understand the IP-related technology of IPMX, and a Technical Track designed for those who want to understand the underlying mechanics of IPMX and who are considering or planning adoption.
The program takes place in two locations for attendees to learn about IPMX, with introductory and technical topics being discussed. The AIMS Theater (Room G110) will feature presentations on Feb. 11, and AIMS will offer a unique lineup of content in its stand, 15-B250, from Feb. 11 to Feb. 13.
