TSL Spotlights Device Control For Remote Productions

TSL Products said it has solved the challenge of fast implementation and setup for remote productions with an expanded control system that helps local production teams maximize their resources and control devices located anywhere. This in turn allows them to save time and investment in extra equipment.

The GTP-32 Control Processor is an ingest management solution that TSL Products acquired when it bought DNF Controls in April of this year. It offers a simple, cost-effective, and easily accessible solution that can be configured for multiple simultaneous ingest channels, with units located remotely. The GTP-32 delivers operator control and monitoring over a wide range of broadcast production equipment across cities, states and countries.

TSL Products’ device controllers can be used to pass camera tally signals and trigger graphics between multiple production trucks and venues. Tallies can tell the hands-on operator that the camera is ‘live’ and selected on a production switcher for use on-air. Delegating who has control over what camera tallies and what resources at a remote site can be configured ahead of the game, or even while live on air—saving precious time in these high-speed environments.

In addition, the GTP-32 is ideal for production fly-packs deployed to remote game sites communicating with a local system at the home base facility to route tallies from production studio to the event location.

When configuring requirements for specific projects, TSL’s controllers enable broadcasters to achieve interoperability, regardless of differing manufacturers and format specifications, while the platform’s Virtual Panels provide precise control over these devices via drag-and-drop controls. This, the company said, allows users to customize production setups and visualize their control workflows, and brings all key operations together under a single control interface.
