Puthiya Thalaimurai TV Use Quicklink TX

Tamil news channel, Puthiya Thalaimurai TV, part of New Gen Media Corporation, are using a video call management system Quicklink TX on its news channel for interviews via Skype.

Using the Quicklink TX, the station can introduce guests into discussions using any Skype enabled device. As the device can receive from and send to any Skype user it provides Puthiya Thalaimurai TV with global access to millions of Skype users in order to broadcast the calls in HD quality.

“It has a big advantage to us, allowing our guests to see their own feedback video as well as the guest/anchor available in the studio,” said Sundarapandian Rajakannu, Technical-Head at New Gen Media Corporation. “This facility is not available in DSNG broadcasting and cellular broadcasting technologies. It allows us to introduce a guest from anywhere in the world for a debate show or interview.”

Quicklink TX, designed in partnership with Microsoft, is a transceiver that enables professional reception and transmission of multiple Skype video calls through SDI inputs/outputs and HDMI interface.
