FideliQuest Introduces Audio Plug-In For Broadcasters

FideliQuest has introduced FiDef, an audio plug-in for the broadcast and film markets.

FideliQuest said FiDef gives each element in the mix equal depth, space and balance, creating a final product that's more engaging, emotive and enjoyable.

FiDef employs a patented process to create a custom noise profile that is tightly correlated to the source audio. The noise layer is sub-audible, but FiDef makes use of a phenomena that exploits the brain’s ability to make use of sub-audible noise to enhance the interpretation of sound.

The noise layer also survives the encoding process to lossy formats, ensuring mixes uploaded to popular streaming services retain the sonic characteristics of the full resolution source.

“By analyzing the source audio and creating an additive noise profile, audio enhanced with FiDef opens up in ways never before thought possible,” said Jeff Wilson, co-founder and CTO. “Engineers tell us they hear things in their own mix they’ve never heard before.”

The FiDef plugin for workstations supports Win/Mac VST workstations and AAX for Pro Tools 10.3.5 or higher using iLok.
