RØDE Releases Firmware Update for its Rødecaster Pro Production Studio

Røde has released the 1.2.0 update for its Rødecaster Pro which broadens the device’s multitrack capabilities, enabling multitrack recording direct to the on-board microSD card.

Røde's Rødecaster Pro can now record 14 tracks, the same as if user were recording multitrack via USB to a DAW. It now records to microSD a stereo "live mix" track; a mono track for each of the four microphone inputs; and stereo tracks for the USB, 3.5mm TRRS, Bluetooth and sound-effects-pad channels.

The update also includes the option to pause during a recording, updated color-coding on the record button (Green for armed, Red for recording and Amber for paused). The companion app has been reworked to provide more user-friendly file handling. The update can be downloaded at the Røde website at www.rode.com/.
