The Barracuda encoder/decoder family offer video recording to an SD Card, USB 3.0 storage or internal SSD drive.
At the recent 2019 NAB Show, Dream Chip Technologies GmbH (Garbsen, Germany) (DCT) showed its new Barracuda Video/Audio IP-Streaming Platform, an encoder and decoder that provides H.265 video streaming and recording capability. Users can connect four 1080p60 HD-SDI cameras or one 4K p60 camera and stream content worldwide.
The new Dream Chip encoder and decoder offer low latency Streaming (under 200 ms); support for one 4K @p60, two 4K @p30, four HD 1080 @p60, or five HD 1080 @p30;audio streaming via the AAC format; audio I/O in the SDI signal or users can connect microphone in a 3.5 mm jack; power and menu control for the Atom One camera; and video recording to an SD Card, USB 3.0 storage or internal SSD drive.
Highly compact and portable, each compact (120x100x40) device weighs 500 grams and works off 22W operating power or 9-12 Volt, DC power.
