XS-NEO is EVS’ first software-defined server, for ingest to post studio and post-production operations.
Built on EVS’ VIA platform of modular services and engines and hosted on EVS’ PMR processing module, XS-NEO is a route into IP connectivity while also supporting SDI-based productions.
The IPD-VIA Ingest app is at the core of the solution. Through an HTML 5 web interface it enables the control and scheduling of live feeds ingested directly into the XS-NEO server. The EVS solution natively writes onto third-party storage as well as Avid's Interplay production management workflow solution. Content can then be edited in post-production during recording, and as a multi camera sequence. Metadata also reduce editors’ time searching for the right shots and managing content.
