German Facility Buys R&S Clipster For Mastering

Munich-based post house zweiB purchases a R&S CLIPSTER mastering station from Rohde & Schwarz for DCI and IMF mastering.

zweiB uses the mastering station primarily for DCP mastering of file formats up to 4K, title insertion, sound and subtitling. Quality control is also part of the picture. In addition, the company takes advantage of Clipster to produce high-grade trailer and teaser DCPs and process them for download.

Tammo Buhren, MD at zweiB, states: "The fourth generation of Clipster has already been our most important tool for all activities in the areas of post production, DCI mastering and transcoding. With it we can again significantly accelerate our workflows and offer our customers even more extensive support in the HDR and IMF mastering domains. We regard this investment as a key move for the future."

The Rohde & Schwarz workstation processes images in realtime up to 4K 120p and offers a wide choice of professional media file formats. Thanks to baseband SDI and integrated tools, the appliance can also be used in various post production workflows. The workstation's key benefits include excellent stability, DCI and IMF mastering, color format conversion to SDR and HDR, and comprehensive codec support. Playback via professional display interfaces is absolutely reliable. It also provides realtime, timeline-based image processing.
