sE Electronics Introduces sE2300, a Multi-Pattern Condenser Microphone

sE Electronics said the sE2300 features a handcrafted true condenser capsule, two attenuation pads, two low-cut filters and the same class-A discrete circuitry and output transformer as the sE2200.

sE Electronics said the mic has both omnidirectional and figure-8 polar patterns in addition to the original cardioid pattern. It is intended for use on vocals, guitars, drums and pianos.

The sE2300 is a multi-pattern version of the sE2200 microphone that was released 15 years ago. That microphone became known for its smooth, polished sound for vocals, voiceovers and numerous instrumental applications.

The new sE2300 features a handcrafted true condenser capsule, three patterns, two attenuation pads, two low-cut filters, and the same class-A discrete circuitry and robust output transformer as its cardioid sibling. This preserves the clarity and “larger than life” tonality beloved by thousands of microphone uses worldwide. By adding both omnidirectional and figure-8 polar patterns in addition to the original cardioid pattern to the new design, the microphone has dramatically increase its versatility.
