Crystal Connect Brings Precision Control to Frame-Accurate Switching

Crystal Connect with VidTime initiates precise ad/program boundary markers enabling frame accurate ad stitching by AWS Elemental MediaTailor.

At IBC 2018, Crystal will demonstrate how to make all TV advertising inventory addressable across all platforms including richer metadata for better ad decisions. The stand will showcase a complete ad replacement workflow with partners, AWS Elemental, SpotX and Ad-Id.

The process starts as Crystal Connect with VidTime initiates precise ad/program boundary markers enabling frame accurate ad stitching by AWS Elemental MediaTailor. Crystal’s VAST Proxy will then combine information from the playout system including Ad-ID, to create a rich set of metadata in the VAST request to the SPOTX Ad Decision Server.

The enhanced data set afforded by Crystal’s VAST Proxy not only provides more information to ad serving platforms, but can also provide that data in advance. More data, plus the ability to provide this in advance of serving, provides more accurate information to you can make better ad decisions.
