AEQ to Showcase IP Lineup at IBC 2018

AEQ will present multiple new communication, IP- based audio products and new broadcast monitors and intercom systems with the “KROMA by AEQ” brand name at IBC.

IP telephone and conference solutions are on the AEQ stand at IBC. Systems scheduled include the EL IP TV. The client application supports the control of SYSTEL IP 4, 12 and 16-line multi-conference phone systems. The application also is well suited to manage the external routing of intercom systems and other communication functions in TV production centers.

The multi-function communication package includes these key features:

  • Accept incoming calls manually or automatically, label calls, put them on air or leave them in a multi-conference group.
  • Leave calls listening to their assigned (N-1) feedback.
  • Put the calls on air, routing them to the assigned internal audio circuit.
  • Leave calls in different multi-conference groups, where all group members can participate talking and listen at the same time.
  • Allow an operator to talk to all lines separately or to all group members at the same time.

The SYSTEL IP16 VoIP phone system engine incorporates Dante connectivity. The phone solution comes in a 19-in 1U rack providing multi-line IP phone functionality with SIP signaling protocol. It can be controlled from the classic SYSTEL IP application or the SYSTEL IP TV and SYSTEL SET+ IP phones as well as by Neogroupe applications. The communication system supports 16 simultaneous IP phone lines plus four additional lines for the operator.

SYSTEL IP 16 has four digital audio inputs and outputs as well as two analog audio inputs and outputs. As an exclusive feature, it also offers ample local IP audio routing capabilities: 32 AoIP inputs and outputs using Dante protocol (compatible with AES 67). This powerful communication system can be integrated into an AoIP system offering the ability to route and control audio in flexible ways from a variety of different devices in an IP network.

AEQ NETBOX DSP can mix and route between 64 and 160 channels, depending on the particular version. It also provides a full-range of audio processing functions.

NETBOX DSP is an audio router and processor controllable from NETBOX RTC application. It is able to receive audio from the Dante network and return it processed and mixed to be used in other devices. It can process up to 64 audio channels. Multiple audio processing functions include; low-pass and high-pass filters, 4-band parametric equalizer, compressor, limiter, expander, noise gate and delay. Versions can mix and route between 64 and 160 channels.

For medium-sized audio routing needs, the AEQ NETBOX 32 AD MX is a perfect solution. It provides audio routing along with mixing capabilities. It is controlled via a NETBOX RTC application. The router features 16 analog inputs and outputs, 8 AES3 dual/stereo and 32 Dante-protocol IP inputs and outputs. Both NEXTBOX DSP and NETBOX 32 AD MX feature 16 GPI and 16 GPO that can be transported to other devices through the Dante network.

The AEQ NETBOX RTC application allows NETBOX 32 AD MX and NETBOX DSP devices to operate as autonomous audio routers with analog, digital signals supporting up to 160 AoIP Dante/AES67 inputs and outputs. This application supports the mixing and distribution of audio and the creation of multiple switching scenarios based on macros and salvos that can be triggered manually or via external commands or automatic scheduling. Lines can be protected and control can be distributed among several users and workstations according to a rights policy. Systems including NETBOX DSP can process up to 64 audio signals. Integrated audio processing features include; low-pass and high-pass filters, four-band parametric equalizer, compressor, limiter, expander, noise gate and delay.

Broadcast Pix and AEQ have agreed to integrate key products to create easy-to-use video production systems. The integration involves Broadcast Pix’ integrated production switchers and AEQ’s mixing consoles Capitol IP, Forum IP, ARENA and NETBOX interfaces . The result is full automated video production that uses audio levels and thresholds for commands. The package eliminates the need for a technical director during live video productions and is particularly well-suited for visual radio, educational and corporate environments.
