Object Matrix and FlavourSys Simplify Archival for Editorial

The partnership between Object Matrix and Flavoursys delivers an integrated MAM to storage workflow by integrating MatrixStore with Strawberry, a Production Asset Management tool.

Flavoursys' Strawberry is a project-based asset management software, based on the linux operating system, which means that MatrixStore can be mounted directly via the MatrixStore File System (MXFS). It can equally integrate with MatrixStore via the Server Message Block (SMB) and Network File System (NFS) supplied by Object Matrix. Interfaces are interchangeable.

“The combination of MaxtrixStore and Strawberry enables media companies to organise their media libraries, whilst being able to easily migrate assets to and from MatrixStore object storage,” says Nick Pearce-Tomenius, Sales and Marketing Director, Object Matrix.

“Integrated and automated workflows are increasingly important for our customers wishing to exploit the value of their archives. Integrating our media focused hybrid cloud solutions with Strawberry ecosystem provides the market with a perfect platform to manage Adobe or Avid editorial projects from Ingest to archive”

Derek Barrilleaux, CEO, FlavourSys, commented: “Our customers are increasingly looking to monetize their archives. Our approach lets editors drive the archival and retrieval process, and having Object Matrix integrated with Strawberry makes that process seamless and extremely scalable.”
