MonitorIQ allows broadcasters to capture live content from multiple sources and monitor the video for quality and compliance.
Looking to improve the end-user experience and make media management efficient and easy to use, at the 2018 IBC Show Digital Nirvana will showcase Version 5.2 of its MonitorIQ Media Management Platform. Introduced at April’s NAB show, MonitorIQ is a fully featured monitoring product that allows broadcasters to effectively verify video and compliance requirements. The new version adds more features and functionality
Alongside its Monitor IQ media management platform, Digital Nirvana will showcase its range of service offerings, including: metadata creation and cloud-based caption generation and synchronization.
The MonitorIQ platform delivers a full range of multi-channel signal monitoring, logging, loudness monitoring, compliance, competitive analysis, advertisement verification, content repurposing and archiving functions. It also features a content retrieval system called SmartSearch and operates in a centralized management server environment that unites all units deployed throughout the system to one central point.
Also making an international debut is Digital Nirvana’s new Metadator, a software application that makes the editing process more efficient for broadcasters and content creators. With its ability to generate locators for media assets outside of Avid's Interplay MAM system, the application makes it easy for Avid users to export media to external sources for generating transcripts or metadata that can be automatically ingested back into the Avid Interplay MAM platform.
The software automatically extracts both audio and video footage, generate content metadata or transcripts, all using speech-to-text technology. The information can then be reinserted into Avid Interplay. The automated workflow simplifies the process of metadata and transcript generation. Both turnaround time and costs are reduced while operational efficiency is improved.

Also on show will be the company’s cloud-based caption generation feature or pre-recorded and online video content. It employs automated processes over the cloud with options to create multiple formats and integrate directly to the user’s video platform. Automated speech-to-text conversion coupled with state-of-the-art workflow and experienced captioners reduces the time and cost to publish and provides better search engine discoverability. The service provides subtitling generation in all standard formats for broadcast and IP delivery of video content.
