Digital Nirvana Upgrades Media Management Platform

The latest version of its flagship MonitorIQ and services in metadata creation, caption generation and synchronization will be on show in Amsterdam.

Set to unveil version 5.2 at IBC, Digital Nirvana’s CEO Hiren Hindocha explained, “Our research and development team has been continuously looking to enhance the end-user experience by adding new features since the launch of MonitorIQ in 2009. The focus of Version 5.2 is to improve the end-user experience and make the platform as efficient and easy to use as possible.”

Shown at NAB earlier this year is Digital Nirvana’s Metadator - a software application intended to make the editing process more efficient. With its ability to generate locators for media assets outside of Avid’s Interplay MAM system, the application makes it easy for Avid users to export media to external sources for generating transcripts or metadata that can be automatically ingested back into the Interplay MAM. The software automatically extracts video footage, extract audio, generate content metadata or transcripts using speech-to-text technology, then ingests the information back into Interplay.

The company offers Caption Generation for all pre-recorded and online video content through an automated process over the cloud with options to create multiple formats and integrate directly to the user’s video platform. The service provides automated speech-to-text conversion and subtitling generation in all standard formats for broadcast and IP delivery of video content.

Digital Nirvana’s cloud-based Caption Synchronization service automatically re-aligns live broadcast captions for online usage. Captions can be synchronized for an entire show, short clips, and montages.

“With our caption synchronization, live broadcast captions are repurposed automatically for online delivery,” explained Hindocha. “Our service provides near-live synchronization and the ability to generate the proper formatting for all potential channels.”

The MonitorIQ platform delivers a full range of multi-channel signal monitoring, logging, loudness monitoring, compliance, competitive analysis, advertisement verification, content repurposing and archiving functions.

It also features a content retrieval system called SmartSearch and operates in a centralized management server environment.
