Blackmagic Multiview 4 HD Enables Four Completely Independent SDI Video Sources On A Single Display

The new Blackmagic Multi View 4 HD model is a low cost multi viewer that simultaneously displays four different SDI video sources on a single display. Signals can be any combination of SD and HD formats and frame rates in each view all at the same time.

Each view is a completely independent video monitor with overlays that that turn on and off such as custom labels, audio meters and more. Full frame re-synchronisation on each input enables monitoring any combination of video signals, even if they are different frame rates. The multi rate 3G-SDI connections are compatible with all existing SD and HD equipment and formats up to 1080p60, including Level A and B devices. Additionally, users benefit from both 3G-SDI and HDMI outputs so they can use traditional SDI displays or even low cost big screen televisions.

All Blackmagic MultiView models work with HD displays, while the 6G-SDI models also work with Ultra HD displays, providing the maximum compatibility of existing equipment. Users can use regular HD displays, while having the choice to use an Ultra HD monitor for incredible sharpness.

Ultra HD has four times the number of pixels of regular HD, so videos will look sharper and clearer than ever before, therefore when displaying the 2x2 view on an Ultra HD monitor, each view is a full 1920 x 1080 HD resolution with no scaling. MultiView includes both SDI and HDMI outputs allowing for all kinds of connections, from televisions and video projectors broadcast monitors.
