Aveco Releases Ad Juggler – Master Control Automation for Sports Play Sponsorship

Released at NAB, Aveco’s Ad Juggler allows operators hit one key to execute the proper type of sponsorship as a video and/or graphic. Ad also is posted to the as-run log, and reconciled to traffic and billing.

Aveco’s Ad Juggler can be located within a station or network master control room, a regional or national master control central-cast room, or it can be provided as a master control room service from a teleport or network service provider. Ad Juggler can be part of a primary master control, or it can be used only during sports events; and it is part of Aveco’s ASTRA automation Suite of Tools.

It can easily handle alternate sponsorships for alternative delivery methods (e.g., streaming, OTT, media portals, mobile apps, etc.).

The solution can also be coupled with localized advertising through edge stream splicing at locations of re-transmission/translators, cable headends, and DTH — with remote stream splicing in master control, taking responsibility for traffic interface, ingest, media forwarding, cueing, executing stream splices, returning as-run logs, and reconciling with traffic and billing. 

Using remote stream splicing enhances revenues, as does other central-casting other solutions such as hub-and-spoke network connected designs.

Among other features, the solution includes Aveco’s Commercial Counter which dynamically updates — hour-by-hour — commercial duration, so networks and stations easily remain within standards and practices limits, as well as regulatory limits. Sports is one of the most important and fastest growing areas of broadcast, globally. It’s an area of enormous financial potential for media companies.

The solution is part of the broader ASTRA automation Suite of Tools that includes the industry’s most advanced master control platform, news/sports production automation, studio show automation, MAM and multi-MAM/PAM integration.

The Aveco automation can control any third-party equipment with the TV industry’s largest library of interfaces and implemented APIs across all manufacturers. Aveco integration supports both baseband and IP platforms, facilitating the broadcaster’s selection of the best hardware and software across each part of the broadcast chain. Ad Juggler can also be used in a stand-alone configuration or with commercial-off-the-shelf hardware with Aveco’s Redwood White video engine.
