EVS Debuts New Live Production Server Plus AI Video Refereeing

EVS is to introduce its latest XT live production server as well as showing AI added to it its video-refereeing system, Xeebra.

The new XT series server will come with higher UHD-4K channel density and offer “four times more bandwidth” for any live production workflow – in UHD or lower resolutions. It offers SMPTE ST2110 support as well as the opportunity to deploy Super Motion cameras when operating in an IP infrastructure.

“It will unlock the power of IP deployment” teases EVS by reducing the need for SDI-to-IP gateway devices and enable a transition to the next generation of production infrastructures. More on this, including product name, price and release date at the show.

The entry level ‘all in one’ live production system X-ONE can be seen by NAB attendees. This system has been designed for the live coverage of niche sports or events requiring a maximum of six cameras. Its contextualized user interface acts as a built-in production assistant and only shows functionalities that are time relevant.

Look for a part of the booth devoted to eSports. EVS says it will present a partnership with one of the world's largest eSports organizations and detail how its technology can be deployed to improve the live storytelling of eSports events. At the same time, the presentations will show how live stories can be created and more easily distributed across multimedia platforms to the sport’s fans online.
