CEntrance Introduces MixerFace Interface

CEntrance has announced the MixerFace, a new audio device that allows users to record to Apple’s iPhone, an iOS tablet, Android phone or personal computer.

CEntrance said the MixerFace can hook any microphone up to a smartphone for recording on location. The device combines sound quality, portability and function. It has a rechargeable battery, a stereo input and pro quality monitoring section.

MixerFace integrates portable computing devices into an audio production workflow, making mobile recording easy for broadcasters and voice-over artists on-the-go. It has two Neutrik combo jacks and 24-bit/192kHz converters.

It allows live streaming or recording to any smartphone, tablet or computer. It has two boutique mic preamps with independent gain controls and LED level monitoring, 48V phantom power and broadcast-level limiters. It creates an end-to-end mobile recording solution for journalists, location recordists and voiceover artists.

The MixerFace will be available in the first quarter. Two versions are available. The R4 base unit is $299. A version with built-in audio recorder is $349.00.
