Tascam Joins Sennheiser’s AMBEO Group

Tascam has joined a list of equipment manufacturers supporting Sennheiser’s catch-all AMBEO branding for it’s immersive sound technologies.

Sennheiser said the Tascam DR-701D now has been upgraded with firmware to support Ambisonic recording by enabling encoding both A and B formats and providing a real-time stereo monitor mix of B format content. With the version 2.0 software, Tascam’s top model video production recorder supports Sennheiser’s four-channel AMBEO VR microphone.

Tascam said DR-701D Firmware Version 2.0 is available for download at: VERSION 2.0.
