Broadcast Solutions Acquires Media Online
Broadcast Solutions GmbH, a full service production and systems integration company in Bingen, Germany, has acquired the assets of veteran systems integrator Media Online GmbH, a former German competitor and sometime collaborator, for an undisclosed amount of money. Both companies serve the German and European Broadcast and production industry with the latest technology, engineering support and training.
Stefan Breder, CEO of Broadcast Solutions, said the deal made sense for him because along with a lengthy client list and physical assets, they received an experienced team that knows the business, led by managing director Marcus Weyrauch (who will continue on as a consultant).
“Media Online complements our business portfolio perfectly and will strengthen our activities in Germany,” Breder said.
Media Online, which had been in business for more than 22 years, will now operate as a separate business within the Broadcast Solutions Group. It will continue to distribute, install, supervise, train and support the systems and applications of well-known brands, including Avid, MOG Technologies, GB Labs, EVS, Rohde & Schwarz, Imagine Communications and Marquis Broadcast (among others). The company also offers complete consulting and systems, seminars and training as well as service and support.
